About Orbit of Stories

Hi, I'm Pankaj Sharma, the person writing and running Orbit of Stories.

This site started because I've always loved the kind of stories people tell late at night. The ones your grandmother half remembers, the ones a friend swears actually happened to someone they know, or the strange little tale that somehow stays in your head for years.

I grew up hearing bits and pieces of local legends, ghost stories from relatives, and the occasional unexplained event that nobody could ever fully explain. At some point, I started writing these ideas down instead of letting them disappear.

That's basically what Orbit of Stories is. It's a small storytelling site where I share horror, mystery, fairy tale, and inspirational stories in English and Hindi.

What You'll Find Here

Horror Stories

These are the stories meant to unsettle you a little. Strange houses, unexplained sounds, lonely roads, old secrets, and the occasional story that is probably best read with the lights on.

Mystery

Mystery stories are built around questions that do not always have an easy answer. Strange events, disappearances, unusual places, and situations where something simply does not add up.

Fairy Tales

Here you'll find classic style storytelling, including original tales and stories inspired by the traditions people have been sharing for generations.

Inspirational Stories

These are shorter stories about people, choices, setbacks, hope, and the small moments that can change the way someone looks at a situation.

How I Write the Stories

I write, edit, and publish the stories myself. I'm not claiming to be a professional author. I'm simply someone who enjoys writing and wants to get better at it with every story.

That also means some older posts may feel different from newer ones. A small website changes as its writer learns what works, what doesn't, and what readers actually enjoy.

My goal isn't to make every page unnecessarily long. I'd rather have a story that has something worth reading than add paragraphs just to make the word count bigger.

About the Stories

Most stories on Orbit of Stories are fiction, even when they are written in a way that makes them feel like something that could have happened.

Some stories take inspiration from folklore, local legends, traditional storytelling, or familiar ideas. That inspiration does not mean that the events described in a fictional story actually happened.

Unless an article specifically identifies something as a real account or provides factual information, please treat the story as entertainment.

You can read more about this on our Disclaimer page.

Why I Keep Doing It

There's something satisfying about taking a simple idea and turning it into a story that makes somebody curious enough to keep reading.

Sometimes that means a horror story. Sometimes it's a mystery. Sometimes it's just a quiet story about an ordinary person making an unusual choice.

That's the kind of variety I want Orbit of Stories to have.

Say Hello

If you've got a story idea, a strange legend from your town, a correction, or simply want to say hello, I'd be happy to hear from you.
